MU circular on current year 2020-21 examinations and practicals

Mumbai University schedule of Exams of current year 2020 – 21 college students



 

 

After successfully conducting the final year examinations of students of last year that is 2019 – 20 batch also university of Mumbai had declared the results of final year students and it was a very impressive results ever in MU which is above 95% overall.

Also Mumbai university has given an option to students to take print out of their provisional Grade card so that the students can take admission in PG courses or can show for job purpose.

Recently Mumbai university has issued a circular t colleges guiding them on schedule and examinations of students of current year 2020 – 21.

The circular send by Mumbai university is a guidelines given to all colleges for their internal as well as external examination of UG and PG courses of current year students 2020 – 21

 

Few highlighted points of the circular are given below for your understanding :-


10 highlighted points :-


 1.     All exams of college students will be conducted online.


2.      Project’s, orals and practical exams will be from 10th December 2020 by using online platform such as zoom, google meet or on mobile calling.

 

3.      Arts, Science & Commerce under graduate (UG) examination to be conducted upto 31 December 2020

 

4.      Professional courses UG theory Examination to be conducted upto 15th January 2021.

 

5.      Exams will be on MCQ based,

          (a)     Arts,Science & Commerce will have 50 mcq of which students have            to attempt at least 40 MCQ paper will be of 1 hour of 60 marks.

(b)     Professional courses The theory papers of professional courses to               have two parts to be considered

(1)       MCQ Type Exam

(2)       Descriptive Type Exam.


For engineering, Pharmacy and MCA, each section to be an hour long and to carry 40 marks each, totaling 80 marks.

Law exams will have a 30-mark MCQ and another 30 mark descriptive paper, totaling 60 marks.

 

6.        Weightage for every chapter to be considered. Questions papers to be of varied difficulty level – easy, average and difficult.

 

7.        Each cluster college to set their own timetables and question papers.

 

8.        All the examinations will be conducted on MCQ pattern and there will be no revaluation process allowed in this system.

 

9.        Students would be supplied with sample questions. Also colleges need to find alternative for those students who can’t appear online MCQ exams due to technical issues only.

 

10.      Every college to conduct a mock test before the exam for their students.
